The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ Visitor Education Center (VEC) received artwork from approximately 1,150 students across Mississippi for the 2026 Youth Art Contest.
Congratulations to the first-place winners, Mack Hutson, Willow Kinkead, Wesley Clark, and Charlsie Johnson! The artwork of the top finishers is available for viewing at Annual Youth Art Contest | Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. The contest was sponsored by the Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, Parks, Marine Foundation.
The VEC is part of MDWFP’s Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery, located in Enid at Exit 233 off I-55. The VEC features a native habitat area, a 10,000-gallon aquarium, interactive exhibits, displays, artifacts, gift shop, and a pond for special events. All these elements serve as entertaining and engaging learning experiences for all visitors!
