Two From Yalobusha County Arrested for Commercial Burglary at My Oxford Storage Unit Complex

On January 30, 2021, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department began investigating a burglary of the My Oxford Storage Unit Complex, 347 Highway 6 East, after several vehicle, campers, and boats were burglarized.

Investigators were able to gain video footage of the suspects, stealing an orange side by side, on a trailer, along with several batteries from the campers and boats.

After further investigation, Colan Stewart Kemp, 33, of Courtland, Mississippi, and Jaya Wiley, 20, of Water Valley, Mississippi, were arrested and charged with 8 counts of Commercial Burglary and 2 counts of Grand Larceny.

Kemp and Wiley are currently being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center on a $100,000.00 bond each, set by a Justice Court Judge.
