Rebel Basketball: 20 wins but no NCAA or NIT

A trying season for Andy Kennedy’s Rebels finds the team staying home not only from the Big Dance, but from the NIT as well. Ole Miss’ 20-11 record, coupled with a first-round loss to Alabama in the SEC tournament, was unimpressive enough that Rebel Nation may not be granted another opportunity to see Anthony Perez, Martavious Newby, Tomasz Gielo, and all-SEC guard Stefan Moody suit up in the red and blue. Moody will be particularly missed: he posted the sixth-highest scoring total in the NCAA this season and accounted for nearly one-third of Ole Miss’ total offensive production. The Local Voice Ligature
