Ordinance Change to Extend Drinking Hours Goes into Effect January 18

The Board of Aldermen voted last month to extend the hours bars can sell alcohol to 1 am Monday–Saturday. The change is scheduled to go into effect January 18 but the first day impacted by the ordinance change will be Saturday, January 20. The change came at the request of Chief of Police Joey East who wanted to create consistency in regulation. The Local Voice Ligature
