Mississippi Department of Health Reports 730 New COVID-19 Cases and 31 Deaths

Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 730 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 31 deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 111,322, with 3,202 deaths. 

Currently there are 538 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 160 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.

There are 127 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 32 new long-term care case and nine new long-term care deaths.
