Mississippi Department of Health Reports 958 New COVID-19 Cases and 8 Deaths
Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 958 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 8 deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 113,081, with 3,231 deaths.
Currently there are 599 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 157 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.
There are 126 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 42 new long-term care case and five new long-term care deaths.
