How did you get into cooking? I needed a job in college, and worked my way up to sous chef!
What is the best thing about your job? The adrenaline rush of service!
Who is your favorite cook/chef? Grant Achatz
What kitchen tool/utensil could you not live without? Chef knife of course!
What is your favorite ingredient? Salt, It’s in everything!
Name three items in your fridge: fresh herbs, miso paste, heavy cream
Where do you get your best recipe ideas? My executive chef, Joel Miller
What is the best meal you’ve ever eaten? Josh in New Orleans, Louisiana
Favorite food memory? A tomato tart I had at Acre in Memphis, Tennessee. An amazing atmosphere with great food!
Personal specialties: any fin fish!
Favorite midnight snack: Ramen!
Favorite kitchen music: Hip Hop for sure, it hypes you up for service!
Who would you most like to cook for and what would you prepare? Gordon Ramsey, I would make him his beef Wellington!
Where do you like to dine in Oxford? Grit in Taylor!
What’s on your restaurant bucket list? Alinea in Chicago, Illinois
Aspirations: Continue to put out high quality food at Ravine with pride!
Fried catfish—eat the tail or no? I’ll pass on the tail!
