City of Oxford, Mississippi Board of Aldermen Meeting Agenda – Tuesday, February 15, 2022

Meeting is at 5 pm in the City Hall Courtroom.

Notice that certain commission members will be included in the meeting via teleconference, subject to City of Oxford Code of Ordinances Section 2-82.

  4. Authorize the approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting on February 1, 2022. (Ashley Atkinson)

  6. Consider the consent agenda:
    1. Fixed Assets Management:
      1. Request permission to declare equipment surplus in the Oxford Police Department-Parking Division and authorize its disposal. (Matt Davis)

      3. Adopt a proclamation recognizing the Active People, Healthy Nation SM Initiative.
      4. Authorize a sole source purchase from KDL Solutions, LLC for an ALERRT Level 1 Active Shooter Training Kit in the amount of $55,900.00 by the Oxford Police Department. This purchase will be paid for with FY’21 Homeland Security Grant Funds (Grant 21LE286). (Jeff McCutchen)

      1. Request permission for two employees to attend the SANE Training in Oxford, MS on February 28-March 4, 2022 at no cost to the City. (Jeff McCutchen)

      3. Request permission for five employees to attend the Mobile Police Mardi Gras School in Mobile, AL on February 22-March 2, 2022 at an estimated cost of $2,895.00. (Jeff McCutchen)
      4. Request permission for an employee to attend the Pro-Active Patrol Tactics Webinar online on March 1, 2022 at a cost of $299.00. (Jeff McCutchen)
      5. Request permission for an employee to attend Patrol Officers Response to Street Drugs training in Southaven, MS on February 22-25, 2022 at an estimated cost of $204.00. (Jeff McCutchen)
      6. Request permission for an employee to attend the TVA Partnership Meeting in Nashville, TN on March 14-16, 2022 at an estimated cost of $512.00. (Rob Neely)

  10. First reading of a proposed Ordinance amending Chapter 18-Animals & Fowl, Section 10-Animal Resource Officer, Articles 1(a) and 1(b), as they related to the duties and role of the Animal Control Officer. (Kelli Briscoe)
  11. Presentation of the Oxford Fire Department Annual Report. (Joey Gardner)
  12. Request permission to approve a Parade Permit for St. Peter’s Episcopal Church to host a Mardi Gras Parade on March 1, 2022 at 5:30pm. (Jeff McCutchen)
  13. Authorize the Mayor to sign the TVA Electric Vehicle Fast Charger Program Agreement. (Rob Neely)
  14. Request permission to advertise for proposals for a 3.335MW Solar Array. (Rob Neely)
  15. Consider a modification to the timeline for the mural that was approved in December. (Ben Requet)
  16. Request approval of a Preliminary and Final Plat for Pettey Hardin, Case #2821, “GoShine Express Car Wash Subdivision” for property located at Hwy 6 East near CR 305, being further identified as PPIN 7686. (Robert Baxter)
  17. Request permission to advertise for Proposals for Transit Management Services for Oxford-University Management. (Mark Levy)
