City of Oxford, Mississippi Board of Aldermen meeting agenda for Tuesday, April 16, 2019

Meeting is at 5:00 pm.

Notice that certain commission members will be included in the meeting via teleconference, subject to City of Oxford Code of Ordinances Section 2-82.

  4. Authorize the approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting on April 2, 2019.
  5. Authorize the approval of accounts for all city departments.
  6. Consider the consent agenda:
    1. Request permission for the Mayor and Chief Operating Officer to travel to Washington, DC on April 30-May 2, 2019 at an estimated cost of $2,500.00. (Bart Robinson)

  11. Request permission to declare equipment surplus in the Environmental Services Department and authorize its disposal. (Michelle Robinson)
  12. Request permission to have a “Fill the Boot” at the Kids Combat Challenge at Double Decker. This is a joint effort with the Lafayette County Volunteer Fire Department. All proceeds to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. (Joey Gardner)
  13. Request permission to accept the donation of building materials from Timber Products in Corinth, MS for the construction of portable training props. (Joey Gardner)

  15. Second reading and public hearing for a proposed Ordinance amending Chapter 22 to create Section 22-3, Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Issuance and Fee Schedule in the City of Oxford, Mississippi Code of Ordinances. (Chris Carter)
  16. Request permission to sell water to Westover Water Association at the outside rate to allow for the painting of an elevated tank on their system. (Rob Neely)
  17. Third reading and vote on a proposed Ordinance amending the Land Development Code, Case #2472. (Ben Requet)

  19. First reading of a proposed ordinance for Case #2482, Oxford Wisteria, LLC, to rezone +/- 1.44 acres from (NR) Neighborhood Residential to (SCO) Suburban Corridor for property located east of South Lamar, and approximately +/- 250 feet south of Office Park Drive, being further identified as PPIN 8907.   20. First reading of a proposed ordinance for Case #2483, Blackburn Communities, LLC, Rebel Hospitality, Inc. (New Regional Planning), and Kenlan Development for modifications to the Oxford Commons Planned Unit Development (PUD). (Judy Daniel)
  21. Third Reading and vote on a proposed Ordinance Amending Chapter 14, Article II of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Oxford – Alcoholic Beverages. (Bart Robinson/Jeff McCutchen)
  22. Second reading and public hearing on a proposed Ordinance amending Chapter 50, Article IV-Smoking Ban of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Oxford, Mississippi. (Jeff McCutchen)
