Thacker executive director Lucy Gaines believes audiences at the Powerhouse are in for a special season this fall, with great music and compelling authors, plus some novelty. Damein Wash will appear in a three-show residency with the Yalobushwhackers this season, supported by the Mississippi Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
“We ended last year with an increase in memberships and attendance,” Gaines said. “This year, with such a strong line up, and television coming online, we hope to add to the excitement with some surprises.”
Production director Tim Lee agrees. “We strive for a strong and diverse show every week,” he said. “We’re particularly excited about this fall.”
