Families, friends, and community members are invited to lace up their walking shoes and join the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science for Hoot 4 Hope on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 7-9a.m.

This special family-friendly one-mile walk will benefit the American Cancer Society while celebrating hope, community, and the power of coming together for a meaningful cause. Children, grandparents, and everyone in between are welcome. All walk participants will also receive Museum admission. Cost is $15 per individual or $50 per team or family of four. For registration details, visit the website or call 601-576-6000.

Hoot 4 Hope reflects the Museum’s commitment to connecting people with nature while supporting causes that strengthen communities. The Museum encourages schools, churches, businesses, scout groups, and community organizations to participate and help amplify the impact of the event. Come meet Griffin, the Museum’s barred owl, during the Hoot 4 Hope festivities!
Held on the beautiful grounds of the Museum and LeFleur’s Bluff State Park, Hoot 4 Hope offers participants a chance to enjoy the outdoors while supporting cancer programs that help individuals and families facing cancer. Every step taken during the event represents hope for those currently battling cancer, survivors celebrating milestones, and families honoring loved ones affected by the disease.
