Saturdays this summer are packed with fun events at the Ole Miss Bookstore!

The Ole Miss Bookstore is hosting four events this summer. Each event will run from 2 – 4 pm and will feature free games, snacks and prizes. All ages are welcome.

YodaReadThe second event will be Star Wars Saturday on July 18th. A Star Wars trivia contest will take place, as well as a Sarlacc pit toss, costume contest and other activities. Padawans are always welcome. Is the Force strong with you? Take our quiz and find out!

1493_Tardis_46A third event will be Doctor Who Day on Saturday July 25th. Come as your favorite Doctor or Companion (or alien threat) as the best costume will win a prize. Test your time-lord knowledge and take a selfie at our photo booth. We may end up battling Daleks, so bring your sonic screwdrivers and as always, be prepared to run!

A fourth event will be Dr Seuss Day on Saturday Aug 1st. We will celebrate the release of a newly found Dr Seuss book, Which Pet Should I Get? We will have story time, as well as Dr Seuss themed games.
This event is definitely for the younger crowd, so bring your Things (1 and 2), your Sneetches (star bellied or plain), your Whos and even your Grinches. Best Costume wins a prize, and awards will be given out.

dr-seussTheresa Hannah, Trade Supervisor of the Ole Miss Bookstore says, “We really had fun with our Harry Potter Book Night, and these summer parties should be just as good. It’s always great when a community comes together to celebrate a common interest.”

RSVPs appreciated, but not necessary. Everyone is welcome!
