Pope Woman Arrested for Embezzlement

Edit: Oxford Police Department have clarified that the amount embezzled was $1,700 and not $17,000.

On Tuesday, January 9, the Oxford Police Department arrested Elizabeth Lauren Smith (29 of Pope, Mississippi) for embezzlement. We were contacted by the business, Epicure Skin Therapy, and they stated that Smith embezzled over $1,700. She has been arrested and given a bond of $2,500.
