Peach Jam – Wednesday at The Powerhouse

PEACH JAM 2014 IIVOX Press Artist Series presents Peach Jam, a celebration of female poets and musicians on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center in Oxford. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. There is no cover for admission.

The epeachjam1vent, produced by Alice Walker and emceed by Jim Dees, will feature poetry by Anne Babson and Kim Vodicka as well as the musical stylings of Holley Peel, Lynn Drury, and Effie Burt.

Peach Jam is an annual VOX Press Fundraiser. Although only a $5 donation for food and drink is suggested, the event is treated like a fundraiser with many opportunities to donate. So, if you love what VOX does and feel like donating a little bit more, this is the time to do it!

There will also be a silent auction of works by local and area female visual artists and a raffle with all proceeds going to VOX. Come out early, eat a little, drink a little, and enjoy some pre-show entertainment with readings from Salt (an awesome local independently produced zine), and music from Morgan Pennington!
