Oxford’s Small Hall Songwriters Contest Deadline is Monday, January 6, 2020

The Small Hall concert series has partnered with Pop Up Oxford Festival to host the third annual Songwriters Contest and Showcase. The event will kick off the Pop Up Oxford Festival by celebrating regional songwriters and performers.

The Small Hall Songwriters Contest & Showcase provides songwriters an opportunity to submit their work for review, with the top ten being selected for the contest.

Prizes for the contest:
First Place: $500 & Cameo Spot on Thacker Mountain Radio
(based on mutually agreed upon dates for live performance)

Second Place: $250
Third Place: $100

Performance Prize:
A paid booking at the LOU Summer Sunset Series (must be available 1st Sunday in June 2020)

Audience Award:
A $50 award will be determined by vote from the audience as to their favorite song of the Showcase

Finalist Prize:
Oxford Recording Studio recording session
Deadline: Monday, January, 6, 2020
Notification: Finalists will be notified by: January 10, 2020

Contest & Showcase:
Saturday, January 18, 2020 7 pm-9 pm

About the Small Hall:
The Small Hall is a event space that hosts listening room concerts and literary events. The intimate space offers a unique space for live music experiences to connect songwriters with music enthusiasts.

Entry Fee:
Singer-songwriter may submit one song for $15 or two songs for $25. Entrance fee is nonrefundable.

If more than one song is submitted, finalist will be notified of which song is considered for the contest
