Oxford, Mississippi Man Arrested for 4th DUI, One Headlight, No Driver’s License, and No Insurance
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, an officer with the Oxford Police Department stopped a vehicle on University Avenue for one headlight.
The officer made contact with Johnnie Ray Sims (60 of Oxford, Mississippi) and suspected him of being under the influence. A DUI investigation was started on Sims.
During the stop, officers learned that Sims had at least three prior DUI convictions. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI 4th, one headlight, no driver’s license, and no insurance.
He was given a bond of $10,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
