Mississippi COVID-19 Cases Rise to 11,704 and 554 Deaths

Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 272 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 27 new deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 11,704 , with 554 deaths. 

Currently there are 441 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection.

45 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 98 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
