Make Plans Now For Charleston Gateway To The Delta Festival (September 29th)

The Gateway to the Delta Festival is excited to announce its lineup for the 2012 event to be held on the Square in Charleston on September 29th.

Oxford-based revelers the Kudzu Kings will headline with a host of supporting acts that include international Blues Superstar Super Chikan, the legendary roots rockers, Blue Mountain, and Mississippi brass virtuoso, Alphonzo Sanders.

This year’s lineup is 100 percent Made in Mississippi.

“We thought that if you live in the ‘Birthplace of America’s Music,’ why not showcase the diversity of high quality music we have right here. This year’s lineup is of Mississippi, by Mississippi, for Mississippi. We hope people from all over the area will come out to support the Gateway to the Delta Festival and take note of the authentic and original talent this state has to offer. It is going to be a really, really good time,” said Cal Trout, Chairman of this year’s event.
