Tuesday, June 30, at 8 am
Please come help us plant native plants in the buffer zone between the Faulkner Flats apartments and the adjacent Thacker Mountain Trails. These plants will beautify the buffer zone and help to feed native birds and other wildlife. Meet at the Faulkner Flats public parking area for the spur trail leading to the rail bed. To get there, travel south on Old Taylor Road a little more than a mile from Hwy 6, then turn right at the 2nd entrance to Faulkner Flats. Drive all the way to the end, where it hits the woods. If you can, please bring a small shovel or trowel, and a friend!
