HBO is looking for Extras for a new television series to be filmed in North Mississippi

Oxford, Miss (TLV) – The Oxford, Mississippi Chamber of Commerce announced today that HBO/Cinemax is looking for extras for a new TV show, QUARRY, which begins filming July 22, 2013 in Horn Lake, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee for 13 days. HBO is hiring hundreds of paid Extras (all ages, types and ethnicities) to work on the pilot episode.

No previous experience acting experience is necessary, but interested people must be able to get to the filming locations easily and timely. They are specifically casting older men and women, Caucasian & African American, age 40 to 80.

Additionally they are looking for cars or pickup trucks , 1964 to 1973—any color (must be drivable), and not necessarily completely restored. TheFirstQuarry

Quarry is based on a series of novels by Max Allan Collins and set in the 1970s.  The story focuses on a Marine sniper, Quarry, played by Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, 24, The OC, Dark Blue) who returns home from Vietnam and finds himself shunned by family as well as the American public.  He’s recruited into a network of corrupted killers. Quarry also co stars Stellan Skarsgard (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo).

John Hillcoat is directing (Lawless, The Road).   Other cast members include:  Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Die Hard, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World); Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones); Skipp Sudduth (The Good Wife).
