Double Decker Announces Music Line Up – Friday
A press conference was held today announcing the Double Decker sponsors, artwork, and music schedule for the Ole Miss Athletics sponsored stage. We have compiled the music below.
Friday
Cory Branan (6–7 pm)
Cory Branan is an American singer-songwriter, born in Southaven, Mississippi. By his teens, Branan was playing hard rock and heavy metal, eventually fronting a Black Sabbath cover band. In his early 20s he began to explore the music of John Prine, a move which urged him to pick up a guitar and start writing songs. In 2000, the Memphis chapter of NARAS awarded Branan with the Phillips Award for “Newcomer of the Year.”
Thacker Mountain Radio Hour (7–8 pm)
Thacker Mountain Radio Hour will be hosted on the Ole Miss Athletics stage.
The Nightowls (8–9 pm)
The Nightowls are an American musical group from Austin, Texas formed in 2011. Their sound combines R&B and soul music. The band gained success when their album Good As Gold was named Top 10 of the 2014 Austin Music Awards Albums of the Year.
