Brown Family Dairy to Stop Processing Milk

Beloved local dairy Brown Family Dairy announced Monday, September 19 that it will stop producing and processing milk on Friday, September 23, 2022. Posted by Paula Klepzig Brown on Facebook, the announcement reads:

Dear Brown Family Dairy customers,

Brown Family Dairy has been producing and processing milk for over 13 years now. We have had met some wonderful people through this season of our lives. We have customers that turned into family. We got to raise our children to know the meaning of responsibilities, hard work, disappointments, and achievements.
You, our customers, have been wonderful and supportive. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

However, with sad hearts, Brown Family Dairy will not be processing milk any more. I assure you we did not close the door without a fight. Friday, September 23rd, 2022 is our official date to turn off the barn lights.

Don’t worry about us. We have had a while to make this decision and have peace with it.

We will still open our store, Brown Family meat market. Please stop by to get your fresh beef and pork.

Again, we thank you for supporting us with the dairy and thank you for continuing to support us through the meat market.

Billy Ray, Paula, Molly, Sarah, and Harris Brown

“Billy Ray will work hard and his farm will earn him a living, and he will be happy, and his life will be fulfilled, and he will know a great peace in his soul such as few men have ever known. God will smile down upon him and his efforts, and the farm will hum like a well-oiled machine. There will be dogs, and life will be good.” —Larry Brown, “Billy Ray’s Farm”
