CSA Distributions from Yokna Bottoms Farm Start April 19th

Oxford, Miss. (YBF) – Yesterday’s five inches of rain – more downpour than shower – had us worried, but only temporarily. While it looked for a moment like some of our spring crops might drown, Mother Earth did her thing and by afternoon most of the water – nearly a foot in some low spots – had drained.

But today is GORGEOUS and Yokna Bottoms Farm is looking forward to CSA distributions next week: April 19 at the Powerhouse on University Avenue in Oxford, Mississippi.

Distribution options are Tuesdays and Fridays. CSA members can choose a distribution day that works best for them, but are welcome to switch days as needed to accommodate their schedules, coming Tuesdays some weeks and Fridays other weeks. In other words, don’t feel married to your distribution day!

The first distribution: It’s gonna be a little smaller than they’d like, however you can expect cilantro, rosemary, mizuna mustards, eggs, carrots, kale, and radishes. Yokna Bottoms Farm will make up for the slow start once the season picks up – so they promise!

Learn. Grow. Volunteer.

Give Betsy a call at 662-380-2367 to make arrangements to visit the farm or spend some time digging in the dirt.
