Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 218 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and two new deaths.
Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since February 2020 now stands at 312,712, with 7,223 deaths. 301,872 Mississippians are presumed to have recovered from COVID-19.
There are 25 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 181 patients currently hospitalized for confirmed COVID-19. There are 456 patients currently in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19. There are 227 available intensive care beds statewide.
