Lafayette County Sheriff Arrests Man for Domestic Violence Incident

On May 3, 2026, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic violence incident. Clinton Grice Wilbourn III was identified as the suspect. Deputies were unable to locate Wilbourn that night.

After conducting an investigation, Investigators determined that the victim sustained injuries related to the domestic violence incident. A warrant for Clinton Wilbourn’s arrest was issued for Aggravated Domestic Violence. Wilbourn subsequently turned himself in on May 5, 2026.

Wilbourn appeared before a Justice Court Judge on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 and was issued a $20,000.00 bond. Wilbourn also has an active felony warrant with Panola County Sheriff’s Department and is on a hold for that agency.

The victim received medical treatment following the incident and is expected to make a full recovery.
