Panola County Man Arrested in Lafayette County, Mississippi for Grand Larceny

GRAND LARCENY ARREST 

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of money from a motor vehicle. 

Following an investigation by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, Christopher Darby (18 Y/O, W/M) of Panola County was charged with one count of Grand Larceny. 

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Darby was arrested and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center.

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Darby was brought before the Lafayette County Justice Court for an initial appearance. A Justice Court Judge set Darby’s bond at $5,000. 

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
