Theatre Oxford to Present Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival
A community favorite since 1999 and one that embraces the spirit of “The Show Must Go On” despite all the recent bad weather, Theatre Oxford’s 2026 10-Minute Play Festival graces the stage of the Powerhouse February 20 and 21 with more than a half-dozen competition-winning plays.
Tales of brainy automobiles, ghosts, an aunt with “the sight,” bartenders with a special touch, and many more promise a great evening.
Among the plays to be presented are Oxford High School graduate Kate Leslie’s A Midsummer’s Nightcap, a play commissioned by Theatre Oxford, and the first, second, and third place winners from Theatre Oxford’s international 10-Minute Play Competition: Connor King and Hannah Allen’s Over My Dead Body, Carry Pepper’s Making Notes, and Katharine Rex’s Books in the Attic.
The 10-Minute Play Festival begins at 7:30 pm, Friday, February 20, and continues Saturday, February 21, at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. The shows are rated “parental guidance.”
Tickets for the performances will be $12 for Theatre Oxford members, $15 for students and seniors, and $20 for non-members.
All productions will take place at the Powerhouse located at 413 S 14th Street. For more information, visit theatreoxford.org.
