“I am incredibly proud of our entire team and the way everyone came together during this incident. With limited information and a suspect who had a head start, our officers, investigators, dispatchers, and staff quickly established a perimeter, followed leads, reviewed video, and conducted extensive follow-up. Their teamwork and determination led to the suspect’s apprehension within two hours and reflect the high standard this department sets every day,” said Chief Jeff McCutchen.
The Oxford Police Department would like to thank the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department and the University Police Department for their assistance, as well as our community for their help and cooperation.
