Two from Saltillo Arrested for Shoplifting at Oxford Walmart after Police Chase and Crash

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, an officer with the Oxford Police Department responded to a call about shoplifters at Walmart who were identified as Matthew Jamison Parker, 41, and Tia Nicole Clark, 35, both of Saltillo, Mississippi. Both recognized from a previous shoplifting incident on September 24, 2025.

Suspects left after being confronted, an officer was in the area and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the suspects fled from the scene and crashed due to heavy traffic in the area. A short foot pursuit ensued, and both suspects were apprehended and subsequently arrested.

Parker was charged with Felony Fleeing, Felony Shoplifting, Receiving Stolen Property, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Clark was charged with Felony Shoplifting, Receiving Stolen Property, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

Both were taken before a Municipal Court judge for their initial bond hearing.
