Young British Clarinetist to Bring Benny Goodman Program to Ford Center

Ole Miss Ford Center will host classical clarinetist Julian Bliss‘ touring program on February 4th at 7:30 pm.

Julian Bliss

The young British clarinetist Bliss and his Septet are touring the US for the first time and they’re bringing a program called “A Tribute to Benny Goodman.”

Julian is a classical clarinetist first, but he has always considered Goodman a musical hero. Together with pianist Neal Thornton, Julian worked out the arrangements of many of Goodman’s greatest hits and other well-known swing tunes for his 2012 album of the same title. The Local Voice Ligature
