Water Valley Man Arrested for $60,000 Grand Larceny in Lafayette County

On Wednesday April 7, 2021, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested 26-year-old LeKendrick Hervey of Water Valley, Mississippi for Grand Larceny.

Hervey was involved in stealing over $60,000 worth of items, including a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and a 16-foot double axel trailer. 

Hervey was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in Lafayette County, Mississippi.  He received a bond of $35,000.

About the Author

The Office of Sheriff is a four year term filled through an at-large election process. Duties of the Sheriff involve two primary areas; law enforcement of the county and administrative. The law enforcement duties are to keep the peace in Lafayette County while administrative duties consist primarily of serving as the county jailor. Due to the growth of Lafayette County, the Sheriff Department now employs 26 deputies working four 12 hour shifts.
