Two Oxford, Mississippi Men Arrested for Commercial Burglary of Storage Units

Officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to Southern Storage on December 10, 2018 for a suspicious vehicle. Once they arrived they found a truck loaded with plywood and wooden frames.

The officers encountered Joseph Climer and Christopher Mooneyham both 27 years of age and currently residing in Oxford. The video footage showed both males removing the wood from a storage unit belonging to management. Both males were arrested on site then transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Additional storage units and victims were identified over the next couple of days.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information can contact OPD at 662-232-2400 and ask for Detective Fortner. A Lafayette County Justice Court Judge set a bond of $20,000 for each on both males for 4 counts of commercial burglary.
