Two Found Dead in Oxford, Mississippi

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are involved in a case where a man and woman were found dead in Oxford, Mississippi.

As reported by Local Memphis, according to Chief Investigator Alan Wilburn, deputies responded to a disturbance at 8 County Road 3011 just after midnight Saturday. The deputies found 45 year-old Melissa Smith and 26 year-old Jose Benitez both dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and no further details are available at this time.
