Three Oxford, Mississippi Men Arrested for Drive-By Shooting on Christmas Day

On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at approximately 6:25 pm, officers with the Oxford Police Department were dispatched to the area of 1711 Anderson Road for shots being fired.

Upon arrival they found a male victim that stated his car was shot multiple times. The victim was able to provide a description of the vehicle which officers located later that night.

The next day, investigators and agents with the Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence at the Links Apartments.

Firearms and ammunition were found inside of the apartment. The Mississippi State Crime Lab matched the spent ammunition at the original scene with those guns found in the apartment.

Three individuals inside the residence were arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Jarius Stokes (19 of Oxford, Mississippi), Ja’Riant Stokes (21 of Oxford, Mississippi), and Martikus Lewis (21 of Oxford, Mississippi) were all charged with Drive-By Shooting and given a bond of $100,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
