The Local Voice Top 25 ~ Week 2

The Local Top 25
Monday, September 1, 2014

Oregon, Florida State and Alabama remain in the top three. The Crimson Tide fell a spot to No. 3 after a not so impressive 33-23 win over West Virginia. Florida State’s 37-31 road win (game was in Dallas) over an underrated Oklahoma State squad was enough to earn No. 2 spot this week.  Two top 10 teams lost that distinction in South Carolina and Ohio State. The Gamecocks were embarrassed at home 52-28 by a Johnny Manzieless Texas A&M and Ohio State lost its Heisman hopeful quarterback to a season-ending shoulder injury.

The biggest jump came from the Aggies who moved 10 spots to No. 12. They got a quarterback, ya’ll. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are the fifth and sixth team from the Group of Death that is the SEC West to be ranked in the Top 20, respectively.

The Local Voice College Football Poll is published every Monday during the regular season and is based on an analytical conglomerate of human and computer rankings.
