Suspect Arrested in Auto Burglaries on South Lamar Boulevard in Oxford
On July 9, 2021, the Oxford Police Department was dispatched to the area of South Lamar in reference to several auto burglaries. Investigators with the Oxford Police Department were notified and began an investigation.
On July 10, Gralyn Jones (24, of Brandon, Mississippi) was arrested without incident. Jones was charged with 4 counts of Commercial Burglary. A Lafayette County Justice Court judge issued Jones a $20,000 bond.
A majority of the stolen property has been recovered, investigators are trying to identify victims and return their property. Investigators are asking if anybody in the Old Taylor Road area had property stolen to contact OPD, as well, in relation to this case.
