Strong Armed Robbery on Hathord Road in Oxford, Mississippi Leads Police to a Body in a Ditch

On Friday, November 30, 2018, at approximately 10:05 AM, the Oxford Police Department responded to a reported strong armed robbery in the area of Hathorn Road. OPD K9 tracked the suspect to an area between Oxford Square Townhomes and the shopping center on West Jackson Avenue.

When officers found the suspect they discovered that he was unresponsive. The suspect was pronounced dead by Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy. Due to our officers setting the perimeter and starting a K-9 track we decided to contact MBI due to our normal procedure.

Any further questions should be directed to MBI. The Local Voice Ligature
