Strong Arm Robbery Suspect in Custody

At approximately 12:48 am on July 8, 2017, the Oxford Police Department responded to the 1700 block of University Ave for a report of a strong armed robbery that had just occurred. The victim was unharmed and told responding officers that the suspect had taken her Louis Vuitton wallet and a grilled cheese sandwich.

She was also able to give officers a description of the suspect. A few hours later an OPD detective was out canvassing the area and located a juvenile matching the description that the victim had given officers earlier. He was subsequently arrested and brought to the Oxford Police Department. We are still actively investigating this incident. If anyone has any information you can call OPD at 662-232-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 662-234-8477The Local Voice Ligature
