Ridgeland, Mississippi Man Arrested in Oxford for Burglary-Home Invasions on South Lamar Boulevard

On October 11, 2020, at approximately 6:30 am, officers were dispatched to 2700 block of South Lamar Boulevard for a male inside a residence. While searching for the suspect, officers were made aware of a similar incident involving a male actively inside a residence near the first caller.

Officers were able to locate a male in the area matching the description given by both callers and after a short foot pursuit, they successfully apprehended the male.

Officers successfully apprehended the male identified as Tyler Murphy (19 of Ridgeland, Mississippi). Murphy was charged with two counts of Burglary-Home Invasion and he is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center with no bond pending a hearing in Lafayette County Circuit Court
