Ride (and Walk) for the Veterans in Oxford, Mississippi at Local’s Restaurant April 21

Ride (and Walk) for the Veterans is an annual fundraising event in Oxford, Mississippi, organized to improve the daily lives of the veterans in the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. All proceeds go directly to the veterans home. The organizers are looking for community support to help the veterans who have faithfully served their country. Many of them have no family nearby and rely on the support of our community to help improve their lives.

In addition to the Ride and Walk in honor of the veterans, Local’s Restaurant will feature silent auctions and door prizes. Items up for auction range from an Amazon Echo Spot to an incredibly patriotic tomahawk crafted by Tomahawks by Vyper. One lucky person will even take home a wheelbarrow full of spirits.

Festivities kick off at noon on Saturday, April 21. Check out the event’s Facebook page to stay updated and check out all the items being auctioned. The Local Voice Ligature
