Rebels, Bulldogs, and Golden Eagles Could All Possibly Host NCAA Baseball Regionals

D1Baseball.com, in its most recent NCAA Baseball Tournament prediction, claims that they believe that all three Division I schools in Mississippi will be selected as hosts for the Round of 64 Regionals. Mississippi State has been projected to be the #5 National Seed and would be paired up with the group playing in Hattiesburg. That means that the winner of the Starkville Regional would play a best-of-three series against the winner of the Hattiesburg Regional to determine which team would go to the National Semifinals in Omaha.  Ole Miss, on the other hand, is predicted to be paired up with the #6 National Seed Louisville Cardinals, a team from which the Rebels took two of three games back in February.

Obviously, these are just one website’s predictions and they will change as the season draws to a close over these last few weeks. The Rebels square up against the Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions  in Oxford tonight at 6:30 and visit the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens for a three game series this weekend.
