Pinebox Debut at Packed House Party

Friday, February 26, a lucky few paid witness to local band Pinebox’s first performance at a house show off of College Hill. Held in a small house at the end of a cul-de-sac, the crowd was packed shoulder to shoulder with barely enough room to drink a beer.

“It was surreal. I’ve never played a show to such a large and responsive crowd,” said guitarist Pace Ward. “I’m very grateful for the scene that exists, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for Pinebox in Oxford.”

Carlos Danger followed up with their heavy groove, hard rock sound that quickly had the crowd moving and moshing within a couple songs. Not to shy away from the challenge of fitting their recently acquired bass cabs, the crowd was given what could be considered a sonic treat or test depending on just how close you made it to the stacks.

Holy Ghost Electric Show killed the lights and closed out the night with all the usual antics you expect from a HoGo set. The Local Voice Ligature
