Oxford Transportation Issues Focus for Campus Public Debate April 20, 2022
Members of the Lafayette-Oxford-University community can listen and engage in debate about transportation issues in Oxford on Wednesday evening April 20 at the University of Mississippi, when the Warren Debate Union presents its latest public debate.
The event, at 5:30 pm in Bryant Hall, Room 209, is free and open to the public.
UM students will be working to spark discussion and examine issues surrounding transportation and parking in the city, said Jacob Justice, assistant professor of speech communication and director of forensics in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.
“Transportation policy affects everyone’s day-to-day life, but many of us rarely stop to think about it,” Justice said. “The upcoming public debate on April 20 is an opportunity to learn more about this issue, participate in a conversation on campus and support University of Mississippi debaters.”
