Oxford, Mississippi Woman Charged with Felony Child Abuse
On October 11, 2018 officers with the Oxford Police Department took a report of a possible child abuse. The investigation led to the arrest Michaela Lay, (19) from Oxford, Mississippi on October 30th.
Investigators worked the case with DHS after a complaint was filed stating that Lay exposed the child to a controlled substance. Investigators were able to confirm the report.
Lay is the mother of the child, she has been charged with felony child abuse and was given a $10,000 bond by a Lafayette County Justice Court Judge.
