Oxford, Mississippi Police Mounted Patrol Officer Arrested in Connection to Homicide of Woman in Brittany Woods

At approximately 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, the Oxford Police Department responded to 1009 Suncrest in Brittany Woods Subdivision for an unresponsive person. When officers arrived they found one person at that location deceased. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations was called in to assist.

On Monday, May 20 at approximately 9:45 pm an arrest was made in the homicide of Dominque Clayton. The name of the person arrested will was not released at that time.

This morning, Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 9 am, The Local Voice confirmed that Oxford Police Mounted Patrol Officer Matthew Paul Kinne was arrested in connection to the case and is currently being held at the Panola County Sheriff’s Department.

The Oxford Police Department has scheduled a press conference for noon today in Oxford. More information will be reported as it becomes available.
