Oxford, Mississippi Man Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Firearm

On Thursday, October 11, 2018, the Oxford Police Department arrested Jeremy Lovelace (31 of Oxford, Mississippi) for possession of a stolen firearm.

Officers with OPD received information that day about Lovelace being a suspect in a burglary. Lovelace was located at his last known address.

A gun was discovered and Lovelace stated that it belonged to him. Officers ran the serial number on the gun and discovered that it was stolen. Lovelace stated that he had purchased the gun from another person.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on the aforementioned charge and given a bond of $5,000 by a Justice Court Judge. The Local Voice Ligature
