Oxford, Mississippi Man Arrested for Felony Motor Vehicle Theft, Misdemeanor Ran Stop Sign, and DUI After Stealing a Car on College Hill Road and Crashing It

On Sunday morning, November 1, 2020, at approximately 1:34 am, an officer noticed a vehicle run a stop sign at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated emergency lighting to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle. Before the officer caught up to the vehicle, the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.

The officer then checked on the on the driver, who told the officer he was okay. The driver was identified as Aiden Clark (20 of Oxford, Mississippi) The officer then began a DUI investigation on Clark and determined that he was under the influence.

It was determined later that Clark had stolen the vehicle from the 600 block of College Hill Road. Clark was arrested on charges of Felony Motor Vehicle Theft, Misdemeanor Ran Stop Sign, and DUI 1st.

Clark was given a bond of $10,000 by a Lafayette County Justice Court judge.
