Oxford, Mississippi Man Arrested for DUI 4th
On Monday, July 5, 2021, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested 71-year-old Hubbard Vinson of Oxford, Mississippi, for DUI 4th. Vinson was arrested for DUI 4th on May 20, 2021, received a bond, and bonded out.
Vinson was called in on as a reckless driver on July 5, 2021. Deputies conducted a traffic stop, and as a result of the investigation, Hubbard Vinson was arrested and charged with DUI 4th.
Vinson received a bond of $25,000, but was revoked due to him being out on a previous felony bond.

Duties of the Sheriff involve two primary areas; law enforcement of the county and administrative. The law enforcement duties are to keep the peace in Lafayette County while administrative duties consist primarily of serving as the county jailor. Due to the growth of Lafayette County, the Sheriff Department now employs 26 deputies working four 12 hour shifts.
