Oxford Man Arrested for 4th DUI, Child Endangerment, Suspended Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Taillights, No Tag, and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle
On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, an officer with the Oxford Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop on South 18th Street on a vehicle with no taillights. The vehicle continued until it stopped at a residence on Garfield Ave. The officer made contact with the driver, Christopher McDaniel (29 of Oxford, Mississippi), and began a DUI investigation.
During the investigation it was discovered that McDaniel had at least 3 prior DUI convictions and that there was a child in the car with him. McDaniel was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI 4th, child endangerment by DUI, driving with a suspended driver’s license, no insurance, no taillights, no tag, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
McDaniel was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center and given of a bond of $25,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
