Oxford Family Clinic Moving Locations

Oxford Family Clinic are happy to announce they are moving to a new location. Starting February 29th, they will begin seeing patients at their new location at 1914 University Avenue. You will still get the same top-of-the line healthcare for you and your family but in a new location to better serve the needs of the community.

Oxford Family Clinic has provided healthcare to many individuals and families over the last 6 ½ years. They have experienced a steady growth and have outgrown their small space. Over the years, Michelle Cullen (Nurse Practitioner and owner) has provided care to many who did not have insurance, or had insurance not accepted by many other providers in Oxford (like Medicaid and Medicare). Oxford Family Clinic has reached out in the community going to businesses and schools to provide vaccines, and made home visits to the very sick and elderly. Their mission is to provide the best healthcare to anyone who needs urgent care, and to those who need help managing their long term health problems (like diabetes). Their goal is to make each patient feel like they’re family, not a dollar sign.

Dr. Thomas Fowlkes opened his cash only clinic with similar goals; to serve the healthcare needs of the community at a reasonable cost to individuals without insurance, and to those with insurance but high deductibles. His passion was to provide exceptional care to those who needed it most but couldn’t afford it or were tired of being over charged. Through-out the two clinics’ history, both would refer patients to the other, when appropriate for the patient.

The two clinics decided that to serve their patient’s better, they could accomplish this by combining the two clinics. From now on, the cash only clinic on University Avenue (next to Fred’s) will be Oxford Family Clinic. They will take insurance and give discounts to those without insurance—One goal, One clinic.
